I created this video as a valentine for my dog, Maui. I got her on Valentine’s Day, 1993, and put this up on the web on Valentine’s Day, 2007.

Since then over 4 million people have watched the movie!

There are a lot of dog lovers out there, and I’m blessed to have met so many through Maui. After all, if she and I did not enjoy such an inspirational relationship, I would never have thought to make this movie (or for that matter, write a book about her).

IRememberLove.com is Born

The outpouring of emails from fans of the movie was simply overwhelming. I actually had to hire a customer support person just dedicated to answering them. The obvious need that people have to connect with other dog lovers inspired me to start an online community.

The community is at IRememberLove.com, and thousands of fellow dog lovers celebrate the bond with their dogs and share the pack wisdom that dogs offer. I am constantly amazed at how close-knit and supportive the community seems to be for those who join.

Do You Remember Love? and IRememberLove.com are great examples of projects that have heart and meaning for me. And they have fed my interest in dogs to the point where I actually co-founded an entire company dedicated to keeping our best friends healthy (the company is Functional Nutriments - see the Dog Cancer page on this blog).
